What is KlapUp?
KlapUp is an app to compliment your friends and vote for them.


How much does it cost?
With KlapUp, it's always free to compliment your friends, but we offer upgrades that make things more interesting.


Who made KlapUp?
KlapUp was designed and developed by Omyteq Agency.


Why did you create KlapUp?
We wanted to create a place that makes teenagers feel better about themselves. We hope that KlapUp shows you that there are people who love and admire you.


When was KlapUp launched?
KlapUp was launched in August 2025.


When will it be available on Web?
We don’t have a release date at this time.


Is KlapUp private?
KlapUp cares intensely about user privacy. Account information is only used to run the app and help you connect with friends. KlapUp will never sell or share personal information with third parties, except as required by law or with our internal service providers.


Is KlapUp safe?
KlapUp is designed to be a safe place to interact with friends. Users can only interact through the leaderboard and only with students from their school/grade. Unlike apps like Snapchat or Instagram, we do not support messaging between users.


Where is KlapUp available?
KlapUp is currently only available in some regions. We are growing our server capacity to support more users.


The App

How do I sign up?
KlapUp is available on the App Store & Google Play Store.


How do I add friends?
Open the Leaderboard screen. There you can add friends by searching for a name.


Can I see who voted for me?
By default, KlapUp only shows the gender of the person who voted for you, so everyone feels comfortable sharing compliments. To unlock full information, upgrade to Reveal Mode.


Are the klaps real?
Every Klap, also known as a vote, is sent by your friends, classmates, or students from your school. We never auto-generate votes.


What are Klaps?
Klaps are your voting credits inside the app to be able to vote for your friends & classmates. You can receive them in three ways:

  • By inviting friends.
  • When someone votes for you.
  • 3 klaps total reset every 30 minutes.


    • What is Ghost Mode?
    Ghost Mode ensures that your vote stays private & the person you voted for cannot find out who you are, even if they upgrade to Reveal Mode.

    What is Reveal Mode?
    A subscription that unlocks:

    • Unlimited Reveals
    • Double Klaps
    • Ghost Mode


    Why isn't Reveal Mode free?
    Revealing everything would reduce compliments. It’s more fun when it’s a mystery!


    How do I get Reveal Mode?
    Tap “⚡ See Who Sent It” in your received klaps screen.


    Is Reveal Mode private?
    Yes. KlapUp never shows who has Reveal Mode.


    Account

    I can't find my friends.
    If you can't find your friends on the leaderboard, just invite them & win extra klaps when they join using your referral code.


    How do I remove a friend?
    On the leaderboard > friends section > tap on the remove icon above the picture of the person you want to remove.


    What is location access used for?
    Only used once to find nearby schools. Can be disabled after signup.


    Are real names required?
    Yes, so friends can recognize and vote for you. Don’t use fake names or impersonate others.


    Impersonation?
    Report via profile > Report User. Upload your ID as proof.


    Report bad experience?
    Report via app support tickets.


    Log out?
    Profile > Account Settings > Logout.


    Delete account?
    Profile > Account Settings > Delete account.


    Schools

    How do I join my school?
    During signup > Pick your school and grade.


    Why was I removed from my school?
    We monitor signals to keep communities safe.


    Wrong school/grade?
    Open a ticket in the app's support section with proof.


    School not listed?
    Open a ticket in the app's support section with your school's name, city, state, and abbreviation.


    What age is KlapUp for?
    13+. Parents should restrict access for kids under 13. Instructions available in device settings.
